I am typing this as I hear a very welcome heavy rain coming down - splashing over all my little darlings both in the garden and in their pots. Thank heavens - we have really needed this rain! Here in Hingham, MA we suffer from a major May inconvenience known as canker worms or winter moths. They've been in my yard for at least 10 years. Coming out from the leaf buds and devouring buds/leaves on so many things. Oh, the plants survive (amazingly!) but it does make a mess and is the reason I have my plant sale so early in the season. Well, I have already seen evidence of our little green enemies so Sat. I moved (with the help of my somewhat reluctant grandsons) all the PLANT SALE pots to an open space where I can nurture them until they go to good new homes. After working in the garden all week, digging, dividing, cleaning up, taking time out to get divorced and then end the week with dancing, today I slept ALL DAY. Yep and it felt mightly good!! Hope to see you Saturday!!
