Slaved away early Sun. morning while Ebby slept - putting in my $24.95 Baptisia (my contribution to the NSRWA coffers. Also put in the Clematis from Lowe's hmm, light purple, can't think of name. In front garden and then cleaned the whole thing up. Looks very nice. Today Matt
came back and edged it as well as tilled compost and dug me several wheelbarrows full.
Spent today in garden #1 laying rest of black edging, cleaning out more loosestrife and generally cleaning up. Transplanted some hosta and an astilbe. I really love the way this garden looks right now and will photo it Wed. Supposed to rain tomorrow so sowed lettuce, carrots, radishes in veggie garden. Can already see critter footprints in #3, can't tell what it is. Put compost in first 4 beds so they are now ready for plants.
Fertilized all the roses with Rosetone, dug all the English daisies and potted them along with delphiniums which I will put in front garden eventually. It's all looking pretty darn good, if I do say so myself!
Went to Lowe's and managed to spend $85 on succulents, 1 climbing rose called Pinata (for garden # 1) got what I hope are correct posts for black gate and bought a composite black trellis with ground supports - only got on to see how it looks. ($15).
A few more lecture dates coming in. Put in 3 hrs. yesterday, 5.5 today. Back is very tired.
