Lovely day. About 70. Oh, those damn worms - make such a mess - droppings all over the deck, plants, etc. And then all the debris from their eating all the maple leaves. It's been 10 yrs they have been here now. Have to wonder how long the trees can take re-foliating.
Anyway, working on getting the dahlias in. Also potting up and labelling the ones for the cart. Plants have been selling off the cart (about $100 worth so far). Planted dahlias in garden #3 on Wed. Everything from seed has now germinated - carrots, radishes, beets, lettuce. Put in 3 basil plants I bought at Walmart!! and two tomatoes. Plan to get the rest of tomatoes at Holly Hill tomorrow. Will probably plant rest of seeds over the weekend. Bought another $40 worth of annuals at Lambert's. Really good looking purple and peach verbena, some curly leaved coleus, impatiens and some pretty lavender spreading petunias. Oh and some parsley. Finished the fencing of veggies. Got to work on digging out more of that damn goutweed in front and re-designing the free form bed - think I will split it in two with a path (Ithink I had it that way once before). Think it will be easier to take care of. Most of the grasses are gone from the bed now so a redesign in in order. Tired tonight.
